REVISED Rezoning and Development Permit Application - 4320 Slocan Street (DE415814)

On August 10, 2012, Yenik Realty submitted a revised concurrent rezoning and development permit application to rezone 4320 Slocan Street from C-1 (Commercial) District to CD-1 (Comprehensive Development) district. The proposal is for a 4–storey mixed use building with commercial retail units at grade and market rental units above.

Changes from the previous submission (dated December 14, 2011) include:

    • Design development to the building facades, material palette, and internal layout of the building
    • Improved access to retail units and additional landscape features along Slocan Street
    • Revised elevation and design features along the lane
    • Moved urban agriculture plots to southwest corner of site, and incorporated patios and additional landscaping along the lane
    • Updated location of electrical panel and treatment along the lane to allow for retention of existing trees

This application has been approved by Council at Public Hearing on February 21, 2013 and By-law No. 10829 was enacted on December 3, 2013.
