Rezoning Application - 1500 West Georgia Street (CD-1 Text Amendment)
On November 13, 2019, the City of Vancouver received an application to amend the CD-1 (705) (Comprehensive Development) District By-law to increase the permitted floor space ratio (FSR) from 10.82 to 10.93 and increase the maximum floor area of Sub-Area A by 432 sq. m (4,650 sq. ft.). This amendment is to correct an error in the floor area calculation for the existing office building. No new floor area is being proposed.
Rezoning of this site from DD (Downtown) District to CD-1 (Comprehensive Development) District was approved at Public Hearing on January 18, 2018 and enacted on July 24, 2018. Further details are available here.
A Development Permit application (DP-2018-00139) is currently in process for a residential tower to be contstructed adjacent to the site's existing office building. This amendment would result in no changes to the residential development.
At the January 21, 2020 Council meeting, Council referred this application to Public Hearing.
