Rezoning Application - 55-79 and 87-115 SW Marine Drive

The City of Vancouver has received an application to rezone 55-79 and 87-115 SW Marine Drive from RS-1 (One Family Dwelling) District to a CD-1 (Comprehensive Development) District. The proposal is for two six-storey residential buildings, including:


East Site: 55-79 SW Marine Drive

  • a total of 53 social housing units;
  • a total floor area of 4,052.3 sq. m (43,618 sq. ft.);
  • a maximum building height of 20.7 m (68 ft.);
  • a floor space ratio (FSR) of 2.48; and
  • 41 underground vehicle parking spaces and 87 bicycle spaces.

West Site: 87-115 SW Marine Drive

  • a total of 48 social housing units;
  • a total floor area of 3,665.9 sq. m (39,454 sq. ft.);
  • a maximum building height of 20.7 m (68 ft.);
  • a floor space ratio (FSR) of 2.32; and
  • 38 underground vehicle parking spaces and 68 bicycle spaces.

The application is being considered under the Marpole Community Plan.

A community open house was held from 5:00-8:00PM on Thursday, July, 20, 2017 at Langara Clubhouse, 6706 Alberta Street, with the applicant team and City staff available to answer questions.

 

At the November 14, 2017 Regular Council meeting, Council referred this application to the December 12, 2017 Public Hearing.
